In the case of water electrolysis, hydrogen transport, storage, and processing, this primarily involves water (potable, deionized or saline), hydrogen (compressed or liquefied) and oxygen. EPO and IEA release first-of-its-kind study on hydrogen patents

Hydrogen technology development is shifting towards low-emissions solutions such as electrolysis, according to a joint study of patents by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the International Energy Agency (IEA). The freely-available study is the most comprehensive investigation of hydrogen-related patenting so far.

SIAD MI to supply Nel with hydrogen compressors

Italian compressor manufacturer SIAD Macchine Impianti has signed a framework agreement with Norwegian electrolyzer company Nel for the supply of hydrogen compressors. The opening order of the deal includes the supply of two compressors for wet hydrogen and one oxygen compressor, to be installed in a 20 MW plant located in Sweden.

TÜV SÜD issues its first hydrogen valve certificate

TÜV SÜD has issued its first voluntary certificate for a hydrogen valve for industrial use, awarding it to Oliver Hydcovalves. The international TIC company’s voluntary certification scheme is aimed at supporting the energy industry and the manufacturing sector in their goal to replace fossil fuels with hydrogen.
